Mount Rainier National Park

Mount Rainier is a 14,410ft (4,392m) high volcano in Washington. The National Park was established in 1899 and includes the whole of Mount Rainier. The visitor centre at Paradise holds the world record for the largest amount of snowfall when 1,122in (28.5m) fell in 1972.

Glacier National Park

However, the remaining mountains, valleys, lakes, streams and waterfalls make for a beautiful environment.
