NT Working Holiday, Long Mynd, Shropshire
7 Aug 1999 to 14 Aug 1999 - 25 photos
My first Working Holiday was done to complete the "residential" part of my Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award. We stayed at the Big Mose basecamp just south of Bridgenorth and commuted each day to the Long Mynd. Work tasks were varied and included fencing, clearing gorse and bracken, and attempting to dissuade people from using unofficial paths by covering the paths in rocks. We headed to Ludlow for our day off before spending the evening in Telford at the cinema!
