Ryde Pier Head station is perhaps one of the few railway stations in the world that's actually at sea. Passenger ferries from Portsmouth use the head of the pier as a terminal with trains on the Island Line connecting with the ferries.

Sandown is a small town on the south-eastern coast of the Isle of Wight. It is a traditional seaside resort with a pier and lots of sandy beaches.
